Aircraft Twirls Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known California Coast
An aircraft soaring above a popular California beach abruptly began spiraling out of control, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a cluster of palm groves as beachgoers observed.
Videos shared online show the chopper starting to spin over Huntington Beach then plunging towards the border of the shore, where it becomes wedged amidst palm trees and a set of stairs near the coastal road.
Emergency Response Information
Local firefighters stated five individuals were rushed to the hospital comprising a pair who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the accident on Saturday.
Three people on the street were hurt. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
